He was the myth and the legend of our small town. But no one knew the truth… except me.

My childhood was stolen by a monster. I’ve forgotten what love feels like. What happiness feels like. What hope feels like. I am numb.

He’s possibly as damaged as I am. Maybe even more. Scarred just as much on the inside as the outside. Just like me. He doesn’t speak. He doesn’t smile. He hides in the woods like an animal. I should be scared of him. But I’m not. He’s the only one that has ever made me feel. And I want to make him feel, too. everything…

My Review

“I wanted to be responsible for igniting a feeling in a soul just as lonely and broken as my own.”

I came across Carian Cole’s writing after so many recommended the first book in this series, Torn. And just like that book, Tied was one of stories that grabbed my heart and emotions from the very first page–I was hooked. These beautifully flawed characters and their tragic story is one I soon won’t forget.

“Without knowing it, she twists me all up, oblivious to the way her fear knocks on the door of my hidden desires and her sweetness melts the ice around my heart and lulls the voices in my head.”

While reading Torn, I was intrigued by the man who didn’t speak and kept to himself out in the woods. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to learn about a secondary character as much as I did Tyler Grace, so I was ecstatic once I learned his story would be told.  Tyler, who was once a popular, carefree guy is now a self-conscious, a recluse—someone who thinks he’s not capable or deserving of love. The events that led him to the way he is now were tragic.

“For so long my life was filled with loneliness, fear, pain, and then an odd numbness. Ty was slowly obliterating those feelings and awakening an entirely new realm of physical and emotional experiences for me. “

Holly Daniels, probably one of the strongest characters I’ve read. A girl whose childhood was stripped away in the most horrific way possible. However, she was still the girl who believed in princes and happy endings. And with the help of Ty she slowly learned opened her heart and try new things. I whole-heartedly believe these two were made for each other, and no one else could have gotten them to move on from their pasts.

“She’s everything. My past. My present. My future. My twin flame—the one who shares the path of my soul.”

Shattered, scarred, and burned—that’s what their pasts did do these characters. However, it was the strength they built together that helped them overcome it. Two broken characters who came together to become whole. I devoured Tied—it had me sobbing, broke my heart, and pieced it back together.  It’s a story where you want to reach into the pages and hug the characters. The journey Carian crafted was one that is simply awe-inspiring. Tyler and Holly’s “Happily Ever After” was everything I could hope for and more.

I can’t recommend this book and this series enough!

About the Author

I have a passion for the bad boys, those covered in tattoos, sexy smirks, ripped jeans, fast cars, motorcycles and of course, the sweet girls that try to tame them and win their hearts.

My first novel in the best-selling Ashes & Embers series, Storm, published in September of 2014. I have many books and sequels slated for this series. My new spin-off series, Devils Wolves, launched in 2016 with the best-selling novel, Torn. There are several books planned for this series as well.

Born and raised a Jersey girl, I now reside in beautiful New Hampshire with my husband and our multitude of furry pets and spend most of my time writing, reading, and vacuuming.
